Engaging volunteers is essential to accomplishing Lake Area United Way's mission. Volunteers improve lives and strengthen communities by the passion and hard work. People are giving their time and talents to create lasting solutions that improve life for everyone.
Meaningful community solutions require more than money or programs or policies. The kind of real and lasting change that benefits everyone is only possible when people from all walks of life are willing to roll up their sleeves and go where their time and talent is most needed.
Lake Area United Way engages with volunteers through the annual Day of Caring, in conjuction with the annual Campaign Kick-off. Companies and organizations allow their employees and staff to volunteer their time to complete projects for area nonprofits that might now otherwise be completed. These are dollars that can be directed toward serving our community. If you are interested in the Day of Caring or other volunteer opportunites, contact the Outreach Coordinator or call 918-682-1364.
