Lake Area United Way's goal
is improve the lives of people by mobilizing communities to
create sustained changes in community conditions. Whether it is
to improve childcare, tackle the epidemic of child abuse and
domestic violence, strengthen families, or provide shelter for
the homeless,
United Way brings the
community together to address critical areas.
Local programs are
funded by Lake Area United Way, after having proven to be the
most vital and effective at addressing these specific needs.
Over the past years, many of us
have decided to focus on "what matters" in our lives. Family,
friends, faith and love of country and community have become the
highest priorities for the vast majority of us. Lake Area
United Way gives you the opportunity to support "what matters"
in ways that
touch virtually everyone in our community, making it a better
place to live, work and raise our families. United Way assures
that local agencies have a measurable impact on the social
